Featuring the work of local artist Nate Tan, our fall show, NATIVE takes his graffiti-style art and juxtaposes it with nature native to the local area. Contrasting Nate’s urban imagery with NorCal native plants and botanicals in various artistic mediums by an array of local artists is symbolic of life in a city like San Francisco. This show captures the experience of city life and celebrates the abundance of natural beauty surrounding us in every direction. It reminds us to stop and smell the roses, sit under a tree and relax, have a picnic with loved ones, and go on a hike along the coast or in the California Redwoods.
